Adjunct faculty members areresponsible for delivering curriculum, providing instruction, and performingstudent learning assessment.  Thesuccessful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively use instructionaland classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning.  Courses at Waubonsee Community College may beoffered in various delivery modes including, but not limited to, face-to-face,asynchronous online, synchronous online, hybrid, and flex. Waubonsee does nothire fully remote adjunct instructors.

Designing syllabi, lessons,activities, assignments, and assessments to meet the established coursedescription as well as program, course, and college learning outcomes and/orobjectives while addressing each student’s needs as diverse learners.

Meeting all college deadlines forsubmission of attendance, grades and data collection for assessment of studentlearning.
Incorporating learning-centeredprinciples and concepts while motivating students to actively participate intheir educational experiences. 

Integrating instructional andclassroom technology (if applicable) appropriately and effectively to deliverand enhance teaching and learning.

Working collaboratively withprofessional colleagues to serve the needs of students and the community. 

Modeling professionalism withexcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Master's degree in Human Services,Counseling, Social Work, or related field is required.
Illinois Alcohol and Other DrugAbuse Professional Certification required (CADC).
Minimum of 2 years experience inthe AOD/Substance Abuse field for Faculty.
Teaching experience at the collegelevel.

Preferred Qualifications:
An interdisciplinary focusintegrating innovative learning strategies and demonstrated ability to enhancethe success of diverse student populations is essential.
Experience incorporatingtechnology and multimedia applications into the teaching and learning processand interest in all forms of alternative learning are highly desirable.
2 years of teaching experience atthe vocational/technical, or community college level.
