Adjunct faculty members are responsible for deliveringcurriculum, providing instruction, and performing student learning assessment.The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively useinstructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning.Courses at Waubonsee Community College may be offered in various delivery modesincluding, but not limited to, face-to-face, asynchronous online, synchronousonline, hybrid, and FLEX. However, Waubonsee does not hire fully remote instructorsdue to in-person onboarding, student support, and faculty developmentrequirements.


Responsibilities
Designing syllabi, lessons, activities, assignments, andassessments to meet the established course description as well as program,course, and college learning outcomes and/or objectives while addressing eachstudent’s needs as diverse learners.

Meeting all college deadlines for submission of attendance,grades and data collection for assessment of student learning.
Incorporating learning-centered principles and conceptswhile motivating students to actively participate in their educationalexperiences.

Integrating instructional and classroom technology (ifapplicable) appropriately and effectively to deliver and enhance teaching andlearning.

Working collaboratively with professional colleagues toserve the needs of students and the community.

Modeling professionalism with excellent communication,presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Psychology or a Master’s Degree in arelated field with 18 graduate hours in Psychology coursework.

Preferred Experience:
Teaching Psychology, or a related field, at a Community College and/orVocational/Technical institution
Experience teaching Lifespan Psychology
Teaching traditionally underserved populations
Incorporating technology and multimedia applications intoteaching and learning process
Teaching in multiple instructional modalities
Utilizing Learning Management Systems
