Description:

Reporting to the Associate Controller, the Junior Accountant will prepare and reconcilevarious monthly balance sheet accounts, manage vendor maintenance records and provide support to the Controller’s Office as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts.
  • Vendor maintenance
  • Receipt and distribution of all Financial Affairs mail, invoices and check requisitions
  • Daily check review and reconciliation
  • Receipt and deposit processing of departmental checks
  • Prepare and/or assists with any ad/hoc projects required by management
  • Assist with the review and documentation of internal processes and procedures.
  • Uses independent judgement to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Provides support to the department as needed

This is a full-time, onsite position. Work for this role is performed on campus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years related work experience preferable balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ellucian, Chrome River, Crystal reporting software preferred but not needed
