Instructor – Psychology HV-FAC-Psychology SP27
Full Time Probationary

Minimum qualifications: Master’s Degree in psychology or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university and previous college teaching experience. Ability to teach on campus classes.
Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching online, hybrid, and in person classes. Experience teaching introductory psychology courses.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction in psychology courses at the 100 and 200 level. Teach in other department areas as needed.
Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide initiatives. 
 At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

The minimum salary for this position is $53,000 and faculty appointments may be at the instructor or assistant professor level, depending on qualifications and experience. This position includes benefits for 12 months but has a work obligation of a 10-month appointment (151 days), which reflects responsibilities during the fall and spring semesters.  The annual assigned teaching load is between thirty (30) and thirty-three (33) contact hours, typically distributed as eighteen (18) contact hours in the fall semester and fifteen (15) contact hours in the spring semester.  Teaching load may include evening, weekend and/or online assignments, and there may be potential for additional compensation through voluntary overload.
