SummaryThe Adjunct Art Instructor teaches undergraduate courses and is responsible for organizing and curating two on-campus art galleries.

Faculty at Louisburg College are expected to perform their duties as described in the job description, demonstrate a commitment to the College's mission, promote high ethical standards, and foster an atmosphere of collegiality. Faculty must also fulfill their responsibilities as established by Louisburg College, mandated by state and federal policy, and required by accreditation standards. This position is a 10-month, part-time position, August to May.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Teach a variety of Art classes.

Teach up to 9 credits per semester.

Participate in appropriate professional development activities.

Willingness to assist students with learning disabilities or learning differences.

Maintain scheduled office hours to assist students.

Complete other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, Humanities Division and Provost.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credits in Art/Fine Arts required.

Classroom teaching experience in higher education preferred but not required.

Candidates will be required to successfully complete a background check.

Successful experience working with diverse populations.

Passion for learning and for seeking creative ways to teach students how to learn.
