Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:JOB SUMMARY:Under general supervision manages with the administration of Food Services financial, budgetary, contracts/purchasing and systems operations for multiple dining units within the department. Provides all office administration duties for Food Services/Dining.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:This position provides business administration support specifically to Food Services/Dining operations, distinct from general Student Services business administration. Work may require flexibility outside of standard business hours to support dining operations and catering events.
- Processes expenditures and accounts payables/receivables transactions for Food Service and submits for signature approval. Ensures funds availability, coordinates budgetary transfers and monitors transactions, processes vendor and catering payments. (This includes all dining operations, catering events, and special programs).
- Reviews and processes requests for meal plan funding, catering contracts, and dining program budget allocations.
- Assists units with strategic and administrative planning, and processes relative to pro forma’s, financial projects, procurement, accounts payable/receivable, measures and feasibility studies for Food Services.
- Performs financial analysis of revenues and expenditures for all Food Services units during the annual budget process and periodically throughout the fiscal year, using financial and accounting reports from the Banner Finance system.
- Generates standard and ad hoc financial reports for management use.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:$55,038.89 - $70,174.59

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:
- Policies, procedures, and practices.
- Demonstrates full/complete knowledge in an area. Requires command of technical and functional procedures, processes and subject matter in a job family or professional discipline to handle most situations and lead and/or review the work of others in multiple job classifications performing diverse responsibilities.
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar application.
- Food service vendor contracts, meal plan budgeting, and dining program operations.
Skill in:
- Detail oriented.
- Effective customer service.
- Job-related systems.
- Multitasking and time management.
- Both verbal and written communication.
Ability to:
- Use job-related software and systems or HRIS employee database.
One (1) to three (3) years of related experience.
Prior experience in budget or financial administration for a food service, hospitality, or dining program; familiarity with vendor and catering contract coordination preferred.
Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.
- Routine office environment.
- Sitting or standing in one location much of the time.
- Some stooping, lifting or carrying objects lightweight may be required.
- Use of video display terminal.
