Department Summary

Taught by top experts and leaders working in the entertainment industry, the world-renowned Professional Programs at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television offers graduate-level, competitive admission, yearlong, non-degree programs in Screenwriting, Writing for Television, Producing and Directing.
Position Summary

The incumbent provides marketing, communications, production and general administrative support, specifically to the School of Theater, Film and Television’s Professional Programs. This is a part-time (mostly remote) position with an estimated schedule of 17 hours per week—exact schedule is to be determined. There may be an opportunity for the position to increase to full-time hours in the future, while remaining a limited appointment.


Salary & Compensation

Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

  • Marketing experience in an educational setting. (Preferred)
  • Previous familiarity with the TFT Professional Programs. (Preferred)
  • Ability to set goals and priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities when faced with fluctuating workloads, pressure of deadlines and competing requirements. (Required)
  • Ability to take up new and different challenges as dictated in a constantly changing environment of dynamic growth (Required)
  • Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, faculty and students. (Required)
  • Ability and skill in handling confidential matters with tact and discretion. (Required)
  • Skill in writing (composing) and editing concise, logical and grammatically correct correspondence, reports, general business communications in standard English. (Required)
  • Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision and with a great degree of accuracy, meeting established deadlines and working effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions. (Required)
  • Proficiency with personal computer and software in a Mac environment. Ability to learn new programs quickly and thoroughly. (Required)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suites, web content development and social media. (Required)
  • Strong familiarity with social media and online communities like FB, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, Youtube, X, BlueSky, Reddit, Discord. (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training (Required)
