Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
This position provides leadership and operational oversight for faculty support systems and services across the Divisions of Business & Technology, Nursing & Health Sciences, Liberal Arts, Social & Behavioral Sciences, STEM, Art, Communication & Hospitality, Continuing Education & Extended Learning, Learning Resources, and Student Affairs. Serving as a central resource for faculty-facing systems and processes, the role integrates learning systems administration, division support, and program management to enhance faculty experience and promote student success. The position is responsible for the administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of systems that support faculty evaluation and instructional effectiveness, including student evaluation platforms and observation-related processes through various systems. While not directly conducting classroom observations, the role supports the full observation lifecycle through system management, process coordination, and data integrity. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, this position leads the implementation and support of institutional initiatives related to instructional technology and artificial intelligence, ensuring alignment with college priorities and effective adoption across divisions. The role also partners with academic and administrative areas to identify opportunities for system enhancements, streamline workflows, and improve faculty engagement with institutional tools and resources. This position leads the planning and delivery of faculty professional development initiatives, including new hire orientation, in-service programming, and ongoing training focused on instructional excellence, technology integration, and emerging practices such as AI in education. Additionally, the role supports key institutional events, including commencement and faculty recognition efforts such as teacher appreciation programs. The position manages supporting documentation, oversees data collection and reporting, and analyzes outcomes related to faculty development, system utilization, and evaluation processes. Through a combination of systems management, data-informed decision-making, and cross-divisional collaboration, this role contributes to continuous improvement in teaching effectiveness and the overall faculty experience.

  • Lead the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of faculty support systems, including student evaluation platforms (e.g., Watermark), learning management system (LMS) functions, and related instructional technologies.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to faculty evaluations, professional development, and system utilization; provide actionable insights to Deans and institutional leadership to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Support and advance institutional initiatives related to artificial intelligence and instructional technology by facilitating adoption, providing training, and identifying opportunities for innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Develop, refine, and monitor metrics and key performance indicators related to instructional quality, faculty engagement, and effectiveness of faculty support systems.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative divisions to streamline processes, enhance system functionality, and improve the overall faculty experience.
  • Manage and coordinate the full lifecycle of student evaluations and observation-related processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment across all academic divisions in partnership with the Office of Information Technology.
  • Design, implement, and deliver faculty onboarding experiences, including new hire orientation programs, using multiple delivery modalities to support diverse faculty needs.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and facilitation of faculty professional development initiatives, including in-service (kickoff) events and ongoing training focused on instructional excellence, technology integration, and emerging practices such as artificial intelligence in education.
  • Provide operational leadership for faculty evaluation processes by ensuring timely execution, clear communication, and alignment with institutional standards; support feedback workflows for Deans, Coordinators, and faculty.
  • Support and advance institutional initiatives related to artificial intelligence and instructional technology by facilitating adoption, providing training, and identifying opportunities for innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Plan and support institutional events related to faculty engagement, including commencement, in-service programming, and faculty recognition initiatives such as teacher appreciation.
  • Serve on College committees and participate in cross-functional initiatives to support institutional priorities.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Master's degree in Strategic Management, Organizational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field required.
      • Doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in a relevant discipline preferred, or in progress.
    • Experience
      • Minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education, academic operations, faculty support, instructional technology, or a related area required.
      • Experience managing or supporting learning management systems (LMS), faculty evaluation platforms (e.g., Watermark), or similar enterprise systems strongly preferred.
      • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration preferred.
      • Project management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent training is a plus preferred.
      • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting system implementations, upgrades, or process improvement initiatives, particularly within higher education or similar organizational settings preferred.
      • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, drive initiatives from concept to completion, and adapt to evolving institutional needs preferred.
      • Supervisory or managerial experience preferred, including leading projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, or providing functional oversight in a collaborative environment preferred.
      • Experience designing and delivering professional development or training programs, preferably in an academic or faculty-facing environment.
      • Familiarity with emerging technologies in education, including artificial intelligence applications in teaching and learning, preferred.


    Working Conditions:

  • Utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, in order to perform the duties of the job.
  • Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature.
  • Evening hours are required periodically as well as occasional travel to Regional Centers and other COD locations as needed to work with adjunct/part-time faculty.

    Hiring Range:
    13 Salary Starting salary beginning at $84,672, based on education and experience
