Educational and Experience Requirement:

Associates Degree in related field. Two years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position:

Performs administrative assistant duties for the Graduate and Professional School.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs administrative assistant duties for the Graduate and Professional School. Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Interprets policies and procedures. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Attends meetings and takes notes. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes documents and correspondence. Maintains calendars for graduate student spaces. Maintains supply inventory. Ensures timely resolution of inquiries via email, phone calls, and walk-ins, while providing a high-quality student experience throughout the student lifecycle. Manages and maintains the department’s Blackboard Organization, while working with campus partners. Provides graduate student records management for academic and operational processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to institutional policies. Monitors and supports key activities related to current graduate students and acts as a resource. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to address student needs and remove barriers to progression. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications:

Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature.
