Job Details
Program/Office Manager:
Administer prompt return of all phone and email correspondence
Serve as communication liaison to all current and prior patrons with general dance information, program registration, masterclasses, performances, etc.
Handle program interface with faculty and staff of Towson University
Oversee and manage weeknight and Saturday studios and classes, as well as special events/programming.
Organize, schedule, and manage program faculty and substitutes.
Maintain and organize all children and adult classes, masterclasses, intensives, and professional development registrations.
Maintain and update patron database and mailing lists.
Organize and update registration in program database and on website.
Oversee all website content and online registration.
Implement new children program initiatives to build community base.
Run bookkeeping, processing refunds, and working with the university’s Billing Office for all online program transactions.
Marketing and Advertising:
Create marketing fliers for all programming.
Work with Towson University’s College of Fine Arts Marketing Department on marketing and advertisement.
Organize the full year calendar for ongoing marketing deadlines.
Manage all online and social media marketing and marketing initiatives.
Performances:
Organize Fall and Spring Informal Presentations.
Rehearsal Director for Spring Production.
Direct the teen pre-collegiate program: rehearsals, performances, and field trips.
Create performance programs in formatting and creating QR codes.
Coordinate performance dates for the local public library.
Oversee weekend performance of Nutcracker Suite for the Maryland Lights Spectacular.
Department of Dance:
Coordinate with Alumni Office for programming events and swag gear for department
Assist in organizing department alumni week.
Develop and implement alumni newsletter.
Organize and develop alumni database.
Assist in an alumni concert.
Represent department in all on-campus and off-campus recruitment events.
Collect and organize all prospective students and interests.
Assist department Admin II in updating website.
Manage all online and social media marketing for the Department of Dance.
The work schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday 11:00am-7:30pm and Saturday 8:30am-2:30pm. Telework may be available for this position once per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.
Travel is required twice a year with the department for recruitment.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Three years of experience in dance and performing arts.
Experience and knowledge in both dance education and arts administration in working with children, adults, and the greater community.
Experience using social media websites (e.g., Facebook and Instagram).
Experience in developing marketing materials.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in dance.
- Proficient In Classmanager , MailChimp and Canva or ability to learn systems.
