Human Resources Administration at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an HR Assistant. This role is ideal for an HR professional who can adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and provide dependable operational support during a period of increased workload or staffing transition.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The HR Assistant provides day-to-day human resources support to ensure effective and compliant HR operations. This role assists with a wide range of HR functions, including Classification and Compensation, Talent Management, HR data entry and records management, and general policy and process guidance. The position serves as a resource helping to facilitate timely and accurate response to incoming inquires.
Classification & Compensation Support
· Assist with the intake, tracking, and processing of classification and compensation requests.
· Review submitted documentation for completeness and follow up with departments regarding missing information.
· Maintain classification files, and compensation documentation.
· Assist with preparing reports, compiling salary information and data auditing. Support audits by researching records and providing requested documentation.
· Conducting basic data analysis.
Talent Management Support
· Respond to candidate inquiries regarding employment opportunities, application status, and hiring procedures via the non-person email inbox.
· Provide administrative support to Talent Acquisition staff, including maintaining records, preparing correspondence, and organizing recruitment files.
· Assist with the coordination and administration of recruitment activities for staff positions.
· Review applications for minimum qualifications and assist with candidate screening.
Administrative and Customer Service Support
· Respond to inquiries from employees, managers, and HR partners regarding policies, procedures, and transaction status.
· Maintain electronic and physical HR records in compliance with retention requirements.
· Schedule meetings, prepare correspondence, and coordinate departmental communications.
· Assist with special projects, process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service, administrative or office experience, or a combination of education and related experience
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and HR experience.

The university announced in April 2008 that is will begin Division I-AA football in 2010.
The university’s innovative Touch the Earth program brings outdoor recreation ranging from backpacking, rock climbing, sailing, kayaking, rafting and water-skiing to out-of-state snow-skiing and snorkeling trips.
