This will be a full-time appointment, to begin Autumn semester 2027. The salary is competitive with leading research universities.
We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching and curriculum development in business analytics and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will develop and teach courses for undergraduate, graduate, and executive education students, with responsibilities that include curriculum and syllabus design and the development of course content and instructional materials. The candidate will also contribute through service and leadership activities that support the educational and outreach missions of Fisher College of Business.
While teaching and curriculum development are the primary performance objectives for this clinical-track position, the successful candidate will also be expected to generate impactful scholarly output that advances the college’s educational and/or outreach missions. Such contributions may include research, practitioner-oriented writing, teaching cases, textbooks, classroom simulations, and other innovative pedagogical materials.
Immigration/visa sponsorship may be available in very limited situations (e.g., F1/OPT to H-1b, H-1b change of employer), but all decisions concerning immigration/visa sponsorship will depend on an evaluation of complexity and risk.
Performance Objectives:
Principal tasks will include: curriculum and syllabus design, content and materials development, teaching, and service and leadership activities in support of the missions of the college. The selected candidate will be expected to complete activities and provide support for developing and teaching undergraduate, graduate, and executive education students within the domain of business analytics/AI. Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum requirements for the position are a terminal degree (PhD, DBA, or equivalent) in a business or related field, completed by the start date of employment.
Candidates ideally would have an established record of excellence in knowledge dissemination within the domain of business analytics/AI, but we will also consider newly graduating candidates with clear potential to develop such a record. Similarly, candidates ideally would have an established record of effective related service (e.g., curriculum development and program management), but we will also consider candidates with clear potential to do so.
Desired attributes for ideal candidates include the flexibility to teach courses across business analytics and operations management; significant practical business experience within the field of business analytics and, potentially, operations management; experience in teaching executive education; and a strong record of service and outreach with the business community. It is also desired that the candidates have already, or have the potential to, create scholarly output as described above.
