This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
Essential Functions
- Serve as the functional subject matter expert and administrator for Salesforce orgs and Experience Cloud, providing enterprise-wide support, resolving user issues, coordinating with IT/EAS and vendors, and documenting resolutions.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements; evaluate business processes, workflows, reports, and tools; and recommend improvements, simplifications, and new solutions.
- Perform user maintenance including adding new users, amending existing accounts, checking system permissions on user profiles, determining and creating data rules.
- Building reports and dashboards that expose the wealth of information from data in Salesforce
- Customize and develop pages and view the users need (adding picklist values, amending page layouts, creating assignment rules, and much more)
- Build Flow and triggers to support the process flow.
- Build LWC
- Build data intake forms
- Create permission sets and sharing rules.
- Coordinate and produce technical documentation for the Salesforce team as well as training materials such as handouts, release notes, and user-update notifications for technical and non-technical users. Participate in training activities for staff.
- Work on creation, testing and deployment of new applications, objects and changes to the system
- Configure and administer Salesforce, including enhancements, fixes, process automations, field mappings for integrations with Banner and other systems.
- Partner with IT/EAS to design, test, deploy, and support system enhancements and integrations; develop test cases, perform user acceptance testing, and track changes to functional requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver end user documentation, procedures, training materials, standardized reports, ad hoc reports, data queries, dashboards, and other reporting solutions to support business needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- General understanding of CRM principles
- Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Experience Cloud, Omni Studio
- Familiarity or prior experience with Salesforce Agentic model
- Ability to gather detailed business requirements and analyze business processes and data
- Ability to perform system administration, configuration, testing, and training
- Ability to explain technical concepts effectively to a variety of stakeholders and non-technical audiences
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence, policies, and technical procedures
- Ability to prioritize and organize volume of work
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work following PM principles
- Attention to detail is critical
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Committed to providing excellent customer service and innovative problem-solving
- Challenge the status quo to seek the highest levels of performance and service quality
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a Salesforce Administrator position
- Salesforce Certified Administrator, App Builder or minimum 4-year experience as a Salesforce Administrator or App Builder
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a higher education working environment
- Advanced Salesforce Administration Certification or App Builder Certification
Work Schedule
20 Hours/week. Hybrid work options available.
Hourly Range:
The hourly range for the position is $50.00 - $75.00.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
