Job Details

As a temporary storyteller, you will act as an ambassador to ensure that the narrative of the university is delivered with the necessary skill and polish to meet high expectations. At SCADstory, you’ll:

  • Perform the introduction speech with professional-grade delivery and engagement
  • Mingle with guests in between scheduled performances to enhance the visitor experience
  • Provide on-the-floor support to ensure smooth operations
  • Set an example for student employees through professional conduct and excellent performance

Strong candidates will demonstrate:

  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • An ability to engage diverse groups of guests

Minimum qualifications:    

  • A recent SCAD-graduate or alumni of a performing arts program or a related creative field
  • Experience in public speaking, acting, or professional performance
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work at least 20 hours per week

Travel required:

  • Less than 10%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
