Nature & Purpose of Position:The BTS Student Worker supports the Business Technology Solutions team by assisting with recurring operational, administrative, and portfolio maintenance tasks. This position helps maintain accurate project information in TeamDynamix, supports follow-up on project tasks and meeting items, assists with basic meeting preparation and notes, and helps keep intake and service-related documentation organized and up to date. The role is designed to reduce repeatable task-switching for BTS staff while providing practical experience in technology operations, project coordination, portfolio support, and business process administration.
Other Requirements for the Position:Primary Responsibilities· Assist the Business Technology Solutions team with recurring operational support, including TeamDynamix project record updates, portfolio maintenance, task follow-up, basic meeting preparation, documentation support, and upkeep of intake or catalog-related information.Other Specifications· Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to update, organize, and validate project or portfolio-related information.· Proficiency with spreadsheets, task lists, and basic reporting tools to track work, identify missing information, and support follow-up activities.· Foundational understanding of project coordination, administrative support, business processes, or technology services.· Ability and willingness to learn portfolio management tools and follow documented procedures for TeamDynamix updates, project artifacts, milestones, and related administrative records.· Effective written communication skills to send reminders, document notes, summarize follow-up items, and communicate status updates clearly.· Work schedule: 20-25 hours per week during standard business hours, based on departmental need and student availability.· Dependable, professional, able to work effectively with others, and capable of handling sensitive information appropriately.
