Job Details
Wentworth Institute of Technology, a nationally recognized leader in experiential and career-focused education, seeks a strategic, collaborative, and forward-thinking professional to serve as its next University Registrar. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, the Registrar serves as a key leader within Academic Affairs, providing strategic and operational oversight for academic records, registration, curriculum and catalog administration, transfer-credit evaluation, degree audit, graduation certification, scheduling support, compliance, academic systems, and related academic operations. As the steward of the institution's academic infrastructure, the Registrar will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of academic information while partnering with faculty, academic leaders, and administrative colleagues to translate institutional priorities, curricular decisions, and academic policies into effective systems, processes, and services that support student success.
Located in Boston's historic Fenway neighborhood, Wentworth enrolls approximately 4,000 undergraduate students and more than 200 graduate students and is recognized for its distinctive blend of rigorous academics, hands-on learning, and required cooperative education experiences. As the University of Opportunity, Wentworth prepares students for leadership in engineering, computing, architecture, design, management, and the applied sciences while advancing an ambitious strategic plan focused on Inclusive Excellence, High-Value Learning, Transformative Student Experience, and Next-Generation Partnerships.
This is an especially exciting time to join Wentworth as the university invests in academic technology, student success initiatives, data-informed decision-making, and operational modernization. The institution is implementing Stellic as its next-generation platform for degree audit, academic planning, transfer-credit evaluation, and registration support, while continuing to enhance its Banner student information system and broader academic technology ecosystem. The next Registrar will have a unique opportunity to lead technology-enabled transformation, modernize academic operations, streamline workflows, strengthen data governance practices, and help shape a more seamless and student-centered academic experience.
The successful candidate will be a student-centered leader who combines deep registrar expertise with strong organizational leadership, technological sophistication, and a demonstrated ability to build collaborative partnerships across a complex institution. Wentworth seeks a professional who can develop and mentor staff, support shared governance, navigate change effectively, and create sustainable processes that advance institutional goals. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional communication, relationship-building, project management, and problem-solving skills, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and an understanding of how effective academic operations contribute to student success and institutional effectiveness.
The next University Registrar will join an institution characterized by momentum, innovation, and a willingness to embrace change. This leader will have the opportunity to build organizational capacity, strengthen academic operations, and help position Wentworth for continued success as one of Boston's leading universities for applied, experiential, and career-focused education. Inquiries, nominations, and expressions of interest are invited.
All applications, nominations and inquiries are invited. Applications should include, as separate PDF documents, a resume and a letter of interest. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled. For fullest consideration, candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
