Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) is seeking applicants for a full-time Testing Center Coordinator at the Walla Walla campus.

General Responsibilities:
This position supports instruction by handling day-to-day testing center proctoring through maintaining appropriate certifications or required training. This position provides professional monitoring and administration for classroom make-up exams, testing for students with accommodations, and GED, CLEP, ATI, ExamSoft, Pearson Vue, Prac+Safe, CASAS, and student placement services and distance learning exams with a priority placed on proctoring nursing exams for students with accommodations. Under general direction, the position uses knowledge and experience specific to the above lists to serve the needs of students.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate the administration of various tests, including but not limited to classroom make-up exams, accommodations testing, and GED, CLEP, ATI, Pearson Vue, distance learning exams, Prac+Safe,CASAS, and newly adopted tests based on academic program needs. Implement requirements as established by associated testing companies and college policies. Proctor and oversee Placement tests and communicate results and or additional student needs with advising and or admissions.
- Proctor students/customers with scheduled appointments for testing.
- Coordinates intake process and test proctoring, reviewing test requirements and needs for each student/customer.
- Ensures tests are proctored according to the associated testing company, college policy, and Disability Support Services requirements.
- Responds to and reports any testing misconduct according to testing policy.
- Creates and maintains testing schedule.
- Facilitate placement tests and communicate outcomes with the appropriate staff.
- Maintain up to date certificates and credentials for all testing services implemented and proctored in the Testing Center
- Primary point of contact for testing related questions from staff and faculty
- Keep up to date records on testing usage and any receipts/ expenses for testing services
Provides clear and professional communication and instruction to students, staff, faculty, the general public, and testing companies regarding testing policies, procedures, and/or practices.
- Forms of communication include electronic and verbal, i.e., responding to questions via email, over the phone or in person.
- Maintain and manage the Testing Center schedule
- Update the Testing and Placement web pages as necessary
- Work with Disabilities Services to clearly communicate accessibility and accommodations for impacted students
Maintains accurate, organized, and accessible testing and exam storage records.
- Tracks when and where tests were taken.
- Acts as liaison for testing procedures.
- Processes prepared tests ensuring the integrity of the testing materials through secure storage measures. Facilitates the return of completed tests to faculty through secure channels (hand delivered, courier pouch, scanned and emailed directly to the instructor, etc.)
- Provides support for accessing testing records to appropriate staff.
- Work with IT to maintain testing workstations and update computer systems as needed to keep with current testing standards and programs.
Assist the Director of the Academic Success Center with department related tasks
- Aid in developing/ editing training materials and testing procedure guides for the Testing Center
- Assist with tutoring in content area expertise when needed.
- Assist with marketing Testing and the Academic Success Center via email, fliers, graphics requests, etc.
- Assist with data collection following FERPA guidelines as needed
- Collaborate with instructors to maximize assistance to students when needed.
- Participate in any accreditation activities related to testing and tutor training
- Assist with housekeeping tasks in the Academic Success Center
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required Qualifications:
Any combination of education, experience, and/or training that provides the applicant with the knowledge and skills to perform the job may be considered by the college.
- An associate degree from a nationally accredited college or university AND three years of experience in teaching, training, counseling, or testing;
- College-level coursework and experience as a testing proctor.

Conditions/Terms of Employment
This classified position is in a bargaining unit for which WPEA Higher Ed is the exclusive representative.
Must be able to obtain required testing proctor certifications or trainings within 30 days of starting the position e.g., PearsonVUE (GED), ATI, CLEP, Prac+Safe, CASAS, Placement Testing procedures. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated. Cannot be currently enrolled in academic courses at WWCC for the purpose of pursuing a degree. Exceptions may apply depending on the circumstance.
This position typically works 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, but varies based on testing needs. During the summer, work schedule is Monday through Thursday 10-hours each day.
Work is performed in office and/or computer lab setting; duties require the use of standard office furniture and equipment (e.g., desk, filing cabinet, computer, printer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, etc.). This position must know how to run and operate computers, manage and monitor camera use, DSS equipment, multiple software applications, and any additional new equipment related to testing and proctoring of examinations. This position interacts with students, faculty, staff, and the general public regularly.
The college has an excellent benefit program including medical, dental, life and long-term disability insurance; paid sick leave; paid vacation leave; and retirement plan. All full-time employees will automatically have 3% of taxable income deferred into the State of Washington Deferred Compensation Program (DCP) unless declined at time of hire. WWCC requires all employees to participate in direct deposit for payment of salary. The college is tobacco free.
