Job Summary

The AI Developer for IT Operations will build AI-powered tools to enhance the reliability, security, and efficiency of the college’s IT infrastructure supporting academic and administrative operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop, configure, and tune AI capabilities within IT operations platforms for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and automated incident response.

Develop and maintain the data flows that make IT operations data usable by AI monitoring and analysis tools, including collection, standardization, and processing.

Connect detections to automated response actions and IT service management workflows, including incident routing, classification, and resolution.

Integrate AI into monitoring tools supporting LMS, student portals, and campus networks.

Support high-availability requirements during peak academic periods, adjusting detection thresholds ahead of known peaks so alert volume stays actionable.

Analyze operational data to identify trends, correlations, and capacity constraints that inform infrastructure planning and reliability improvements.

Perform ongoing maintenance, testing, and review of deployed AI tools to ensure continued accuracy as infrastructure and usage patterns evolve; troubleshoot and resolve tool and configuration issues as they arise.

Design dashboards and visualizations that communicate system health, anomaly trends, and incident patterns to IT and academic technology stakeholders.

Partner with infrastructure, service desk, and academic technology teams to turn operational pain points into working tools and support adoption.

Document technical designs, workflows, and standard operating procedures for AI-enabled IT operations tools.

Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

·Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required

·Master’s degree preferred

·3 years’ experience in development with a strong background in Python (API integration, data processing, and automation scripting) required

Working Conditions
