Essential Job Duties:The Temporary Co-op Coordinator position provides professional support and guidance to the department in support of its mission to enhance academic study, forge external university alliances and promote North Carolina’s economic vitality through the placement of NC State students into curriculum-specific experiential-learning work experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
– Deliver day-to-day administrative and operational support for Co-op program activities, procedures, and student services.
– Advise students on Co-op participation, application processes, onboarding, policy compliance, COP course registration, and career strategies while supporting employer development and recruitment efforts.
– Promote student participation in Co-op through customized information sessions to classes, advisors, student organizations, residence halls, and other campus groups.
– Maintain accurate and complete records of student interest and participation in the Co-op Program.
– Monitor and manage the student enrollment in the program-affiliated COP courses.
– Grade COP course assignments and provide constructive feedback on student coursework within Moodle.
– Provide support in coordinating Co-op Ambassadors for campus outreach and events.
– Represent the Co-op Program at career fairs and other events supported by the Career Development Center.
– Provide support for Curricular Practical Training requests for international students, working in collaboration with the Office of International Services (OIS).
– Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing Co-op Program events including the Co-op Job Fair and the Co-op Signing Day and Graduation Celebration.
