Budgeted Salary: The budgeted base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 per year.

Onsite interviews for selected applicants will be scheduled after October 26, 2026.

As a member of the central University Human Resources (UHR) the Senior Recruiter will be a member of the Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise team supporting 12+ schools and units across Stanford. This role offers the opportunity to recruit across a wide range of university functions, including student services, research support, fundraising, events, technology, and administration. Positions range from administrative assistants to directors, with opportunities to work on distinctive searches such as alumni event planners for the LA Olympics.

The Senior Recruiter will serve as the primary contact and consultative partner for hiring managers, advising managers on the job market, candidate evaluation, search strategies and aligning hiring decisions with the organization's long-term needs. They will manage an average of 15 concurrent searches, meeting internal stakeholders' deadlines and requirements while ensuring all candidates have a positive experience and will contribute to a strong employer brand. This role also requires close partnership with school and unit HR to ensure alignment on realistic timelines, managing competing priorities, compensation, policies, and hiring processes throughout the search lifecycle. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of each hiring manager's business needs and team dynamics, enabling the Senior Recruiter to make thoughtful, well-matched placements rather than simply filling roles. The Senior Recruiter will also be expected to facilitate Stanford New Hire Onboarding sessions a minimum of once per month. They will also collaborate with the recruitment team on additional projects as needed.
