Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job:Teaching, research, and service. The position carries a standard teaching load of three courses each Fall and Spring semester. Other responsibilities include research in the field of mathematics, advising students, and service to the department, college and university.
Educational Requirements for the Position:Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics. Applicants from all areas of mathematics are encouraged to apply.
Experience Required for the Position:Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality teaching and be active in research. Candidates should have excellent communication skills.
Other Requirements for the Position:Preference may be given to applicants whose research interests fall under the category of applied mathematics and/or those who have the background and passion for research in undergraduate mathematics, but strong applicants from all areas of mathematics are encouraged to apply.
Special Instructions Summary:Submit an AMS cover sheet, a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, teaching statement, research statement, copies of all transcripts and at least three letters of reference, at least two of which address the candidate’s research potential and at least one of which addresses the candidate’s teaching.

We offer BA, BS, MA and MS degrees in Mathematics, a BS degree in Data Science, and a MS degree in Statistics, along with several minors and certificate programs in these content areas. The department is actively involved in undergraduate research and developing innovative teaching methods that encourage students to be more actively engaged in the study of mathematics.
