Position Summary

UCLA Fielding School of Public Health is seeking a talented professional to join our team as Program Manager for the Office of the Dean.This position serves as a central operational hub, ensuring seamless daily execution by managing key strategic initiatives, coordinating complex schedules, and planning high-impact school events. The Program Manager provides critical programmatic and analytical support directly to the Dean and Associate Deans, making it an incredible opportunity for someone looking to work closely with higher education and Public Health Leaders.
Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

  • Demonstrated, genuine commitment to the core mission of Public Health. (Required)
  • Outstanding work ethic, high reliability, and the ability to provide excellent professional references upon request. (Required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Public Health terminology, principles, and practices; and strong understanding of public health disciplines and practice settings. (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience in providing the primary support to executive level administrator or manager. (Required)
  • Proven track record in program management and data analysis. (Required)
  • Strong skills in analyzing, researching, and synthesizing large amounts of data. (Required)
  • Demonstrated skill in developing task-oriented timelines to keep track of ongoing project deadlines and ensure project goals are met. (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience with program and event coordination. (Required)
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and other campus units as well as with external partners. (Required)
  • Organizational skills to prioritize work assignments with attention to detail. (Required)
  • Analytical skills to identify and resolve problems using sound judgment, critical thinking, and independent decision-making. (Required)
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy, maintain confidentiality, and use discretion at all times. (Required)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to present and compose reports, business correspondence, and other information accurately, clearly and effectively to all audiences. (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience multitasking and managing changing priorities and conflicting deadlines independently, with minimal direction. (Required)
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment, using such programs as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, OASIS, Google applications, AI and other graphic/database software programs. (Required)
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures. (Required)

  • Bachelor's Degree required and 3-5 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
  • Master's Degree In Public Health or other related fields (Preferred)

In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
