Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Attends and monitors needs of the Swimming Pool, Spa, Vortex an Exercise equipment in the Wellness Center. Assist Director with assessment of general maintenance needs of the facility and facility risk assessment.

  • Ensures the swimming pool, spa, vortex are operational and safe.
  • Responsible for the ordering of supplies for the swimming pool.
  • Ensures building and staff are ready to open the facility daily.
  • Monitors and trains lifeguards on chlorine and PH levels for safety.
  • Daily inspections of all exercise equipment.
  • Assist Director with Facility Risk Assessment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • Four years related experience including two years of general maintenance and/or swimming pool maintenance.
  • Certified Pool Operator Certificate or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Alertness and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to deal with employees, students and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.

Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • One-year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Management course preferred.

  • Eight hours per day. Overtime and subject to call-in.
  • Shift assignment according to needs of Campus Recreation and Wellness.

  • Working with hazardous materials, lifting heavy objects.
