Job Summary  

The Educational Innovation Coordinator serves as the primary operational, technical, and front-facing professional driving the university¿s academic innovation and credentialing initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Adult and Online Learning, this position manages the day-to-day logistics, platform administration, workflow management, and stakeholder support required to execute digital badging, micro-credentials, Prior Learning Assessment workflows, and emerging educational technology/Artificial Intelligence initiatives across Academic Affairs. The Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for faculty, staff, academic departments, and students seeking guidance on innovative credentialing models, badge creation, PLA submission processes, and operational compliance standards (including digital accessibility and state authorization tracking). By providing high-touch support and rigorous execution, the Coordinator bridges academic innovation and regulatory compliance, ensuring all learning initiatives are accessible, operationally sound, and aligned with institutional quality standards.

Responsibilities  
  • Manage the day-to-day platform administration for the university's digital badging and credential management systems  
  • Guide faculty and academic departments through the end-to-end process of proposing, designing, and launching digital badges and micro-credentials  
  • Coordinate the operational intake, processing, and tracking of Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) applications, portfolio reviews, and non-traditional credit requests  
  • Facilitate workflow logistics between prospective/enrolled students, academic departments, and faculty evaluators for experiential learning and portfolio evaluations  
  • Serve as the front-line operational lead for all AI compliance courses  
  • Serve as the front-line operational lead for initiatives involving generative AI tools, digital verification platforms, and innovative learning technologies  
  • Provide practical support and guidance for compliance-related tasks regarding accessibility in digital learning environments, including, but not limited to, supporting the Web Accessibility Taskforce  
  • Assist the Director by tracking out-of-state student location data, maintaining licensure disclosure logs, and gathering evidence for SARA renewals and state authorization filings  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for routine inquiries regarding micro-credentials, PLA pathways, AI instructional guidelines, and compliance workflows  
  • Organize and facilitate hands-on workshops, webinars, and training sessions for faculty and staff on credential creation, PLA processes, and accessibility compliance  
  • Develop user-friendly website content, FAQs, promotional toolkits, and administrative guides to increase awareness and engagement across campus  
Required Qualifications  

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Educational Technology, Educational Leadership, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field  

Required Experience

  • Two (2) - Four (4) years of professional experience in higher education, project coordination, academic operations, platform administration, or instructional support  
Preferred Qualifications  

Preferred Education

  • Masters degree in Higher Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related discipline  

Preferred Experience

  • Experience administering Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) processes or badging systems (Parchment, Canvas Credentials, Credly)  
Proposed Salary  

$27.95 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated familiarity with digital badging platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or credit mobility databases

  • Practical understanding of digital accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA) and emerging educational technologies (including generative AI tools)

  • A demonstrated ability to train and support faculty and staff
