Educational and Experience Requirement:Associate’s degree in related field. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Nature & Purpose of Position:Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the School of Agricultural Sciences
Primary Responsibilities:Performs advanced administrative assistant duties to include data and document processing as well as providing general customer service. Performs data entry, verifies data and files. Performs receptionist duties, receives visitors, directs phone and walk-in customers and schedules appointments. Provides standard reports and maintains office calendar and departmental website. Attends meetings and takes notes. Solves routine problems and performs tasks of a repetitive nature, including processing student forms, maintaining student files and general filing. Attends Ag events and meetings. Receives and distributes mail daily. Uploads syllabi and vitas for faculty. Orders and maintains supply inventory. Assists faculty with budgeting, departmental travel and purchasing duties. Handles P-Card purchases and monitors expenses. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature.
