Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.

Job Summary

The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of custodial services within assigned campus buildings and facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for students and staff while managing custodial staff and resources.

This is manual work exercising maximum supervision over custodial personnel in the performance of routine cleaning duties. The Custodial Supervisor is responsibility for a variety of cleaning tasks performed in and around buildings. The Custodial Supervisor works independently and reviews work performed by the custodial employees. Supervision is received from the Manager who checks work for adherence to establish practices and schedules.

Responsibilities

Supervises and participates in sweeping, dusting, waxing mopping, scrubbing, washing windows, walls, doors, floors, furniture and other equipment in and around buildings and grounds.

Performs daily walk-throughs of all buildings to ensure adherence to established cleaning protocols, safety practices, and infection control standards.

Overseeing the proper use and care of equipment and supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and making recommendations for equipment replacement or procurement.

Delivers, receives and transport goods to buildings.

Provides training and guidance to staff. Performs minor maintenance to custodial equipment and facilities. Places work orders for maintenance problems in the buildings.

Promoting a positive work environment by fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect among the custodial team and ensuring good employee morale.

Performs all janitorial duties necessary in instances of staff shortages.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Weekend and after normal hours duties will be required.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

3 years' experience in Custodial Services.

1 year of supervisor experience.

Must possess a valid Georgia Driver's license in good standings.

Considerable knowledge of a wide variety of cleaning materials, methods, equipment, supplies and procedures.

Considerable knowledge of the use and care of a variety of cleaning equipment.

Ability to review and carry out oral and written instructions.

Ability to plan and organize routine work details.

Ability to instruct, train and supervise employees in cleaning and related activities.

Ability to operate and lift heavy equipment.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
