Coordinator, Web Governance

Job Summary

Responsible for establishing and overseeing the governance framework for all public-facing digital properties managed by the Communications and Marketing department. Provides oversight of the systems and standards that guide how web content is created and managed, including the development of training, documentation, and resources that enable contributors to follow established expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Define, guide, and assess standards, processes, and practices that govern how web content is organized, maintained, and evaluated across Communications and Marketing digital properties to ensure alignment with institutional brand and communication priorities.

Support contributors by creating a structured and sustainable environment for consistent and compliant content management and providing structured approaches to content audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Guide content lifecycle governance and ongoing content stewardship, supporting a sustainable approach to maintaining accurate, relevant, and effective web content over time.

Partner with the IT Accessibility Office to implement and support accessibility standards aligned with WCAG and ADA requirements across Communications and Marketing web properties.

Partner with stakeholders to support accessibility improvements and remediation efforts.

Develop and deliver training programs for content contributors and create supporting materials, playbooks, and documentation.

Identify patterns and systemic issues affecting content quality and consistency and recommend improvements that support a cohesive, accessible, and sustainable web presence.

Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

·Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, Information Technology or related field required

·4 years web content management experience required, preferably within a higher education or similar environment

Licensing & Certification

·Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
