The Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development within Georgia State University's School of Public Health is dedicated to advancing research that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of children, families, and communities. Through innovative research, community partnerships, and evidence-based interventions, the Centers work to address critical public health challenges and improve outcomes across diverse populations.

The Alcohol and Sexual Assault Prevention (ASAP) Lab is seeking a Research Coordinator I (Sponsor Funded) to support and expand its research initiatives focused on alcohol use and sexual assault prevention. This position will assist with the coordination and implementation of research projects and contribute to the lab’s efforts to advance the field through high-quality research and community engagement.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Assist with coordinating research projects to support project goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Support project planning activities, participant recruitment and retention efforts, data collection, participant compensation, and communication with study participants and research team members.

Supervise student team members and assist with day-to-day project workflow activities.

Coordinate project-related logistics, including scheduling, purchasing supplies and equipment, and maintaining project records.

Attend project meetings to review project tasks and timelines and assist with tracking project progress.

Prepare meeting agendas, document minutes, coordinate schedules, and distribute follow-up action items to members of the research team.

Assist with identifying workflow inefficiencies and contribute to the development of process improvements and solutions.

Support the administrative management of grants and help ensure project deadlines and reporting requirements are communicated and met.

Provide entry-level support for literature reviews, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and other research-related activities.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in the assigned research area; or a combination of education and related experience.

Founded in 1913 in Atlanta, Georgia State University is the second-largest and one of four research institutions in the University System of Georgia.
