Job Title:Research Senior Technician

Department:Arts and Sciences | Evolution Ecology and Organismal Biology

The Research Senior Technician will be responsible for helping to maintain fish colonies and assisting with ongoing experiments in the Hellmann lab in the Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology. Duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing fish husbandry, conducting behavioral assays and genetic analyses for experiments, managing and ordering research materials, and training undergraduates and new lab members.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in biology or equivalent field.

The minimum qualifications can be met by having 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma/GED, or 2 years of relevant experience required with an Associate's Degree, or 0 years of relevant experience required with a Bachelor's Degree.

Additional Education/Experience Desired

Master’s degree in biology or equivalent field is preferred. At least one year of experience with fish care or multiple years of research experience in behavioral ecology, ichthyology, or molecular techniques is preferred.

The pay range for this job profile is $19.28 - $25.19. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
