Essential Job Duties:

The position will update existing materials and create original graphic designs for various print products. Primary deliverables include leader guides featuring thumbnail images and key talking points, recipe cards, standard 8-1/2 × 11-inch activity sheets, multi-page brochures, and related promotional collateral. Additionally, this role is responsible for updating designated website pages as directed. This position operates on an Apple iMac computer platform and works on-site in an office environment alongside the Executive Director and the Outreach Strategy Planning Manager.

Other Work/Responsibilities:

  • N/A

Minimum Experience/Education:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Canva, with hands-on experience designing a variety of visual materials (including brochures featuring photo inserts, customized tables, and advanced layout elements).
  • A portfolio or digital samples of previous design work is strongly preferred for review.

Department Required Skills:

  • Proficient with Canva design program to update existing materials created in this platform.
  • Oversee website page editing in a WordPress environment.
  • Locate and select royalty-free images to complement content.
  • Strong communication skills to promote understanding of the task to be performed and to keep program leadership apprised of work product delivery schedule, review timelines, and final product availability.
  • Strong organization skills to include the use of file naming conventions and revision control.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner and receive feedback/input on drafts prior to producing a final design.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:

Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, with demonstrated experience updating and maintaining existing document templates.
