The Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences at Coastal Carolina University announces a full-time tenure track position in Educational Research beginning August 2027. The department houses a Ph.D. in Education Sciences with specializations including Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, and Charter, Private & Independent School Leadership. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with the chair, program coordinators, and other program faculty to plan and teach graduate courses as needed; these are expected to include Quantitative and Mixed Methods courses for the Ph.D. program and chairing dissertation sections. The successful candidate will also actively participate in curriculum and assessment development and analysis; provide advisement and mentorship to students; participate in program, departmental, college, and university governance; represent the program with external constituencies; assist with the recruitment and retention of students; and engage in relevant professional activities and scholarship. The faculty and administrators in the Spadoni College, along with professional staff across the University, will provide meaningful support for the successful candidate’s teaching and scholarship as elements of their personal and professional career development. Required Qualifications:· Earned Ph.D. in Educational Research or closely related field, or earned Ph.D. in an Education field with demonstrated emphasis on Educational Research Preferred Qualifications:· Potential for excellence in teaching at the graduate level based on previous teaching experience· Potential for excellence in supporting doctoral research projects.· Experience teaching research courses at the graduate level· Experience teaching in hybrid and streaming teaching modalities· Demonstrated engagement and/or leadership in the educational research community Interested candidates should submit: a letter of application (outlining interest in the position and specifying how the candidate meets the required and preferred qualifications), current curriculum vitae, copies of transcripts of all graduate work (copies are acceptable at this time), and a list of at least three professional references. Teach graduate research courses utilizing synchronous and asynchronous instructional methods.

Prepares content, syllabi, and University Moodle/curricular site for each course and/or lab assigned each semester.Communicates to students after reviewing assignments. Calculates and assigns grades (e.g., mid-term and final)through established procedures listed in the Faculty Manual and University catalog. Tracks and reports absences asdirected by the Office of the Registrar.

Conducts research to create and add to knowledge in a field or produces creative work. Trains students in relatedresearch techniques and in creative production.

Posts and holds regular office hours each week per College and University guidelines. Engages in University-relatedactivities including committee assignments, meetings, ceremonies, events and scholarly pursuits as prescribed inthe Faculty Manual.

Performs other duties as assigned.
