This is a Part-Time Instructor Pool in our Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) department for available assignments during the academic year. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings and/or weekends.

Alvin College seeks a pool of qualified and engaging Part-Time Instructor in the Continuing Education Workforce Development Department to teach courses and workforce training programs focused on digital skills, emerging technologies, visual content creation, and digital marketing. This position is a Part-Time as needed position. The instructor will provide students with practical, career-oriented learning experiences that support workforce readiness and professional development in today's technology-driven environment. This position is limited to no more than 19 hours per week and is as needed based on community needs.

Teach assigned courses in digital skills, emerging technologies, content creation, and digital marketing. Develop and deliver engaging instruction using current industry tools, technologies, and best practices. Provide hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for employment, entrepreneurship, and career advancement. Introduce students to artificial intelligence (AI) applications for productivity, communication, content creation, and business operations. Teach students how to create professional visual content and marketing materials using industry-standard design platforms. Design and evaluate projects, assignments, and assessments that demonstrate student learning outcomes. Maintain accurate student records, attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Provide academic support, feedback, and guidance to foster student success. Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for diverse student populations. Stay current with emerging trends and innovations in technology, digital media, and marketing. Other duties as assigned.WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee typically works in a classroom environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of a classroom. Employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to twenty (20) pounds.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Appropriate Certifications and/or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Education, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Professional experience in digital technology, marketing, content creation, design, communications, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to use and teach current technology platforms and digital tools. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of emerging technologies and digital communication tools. Ability to teach practical, workforce-relevant skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to engage students with varying educational and technical backgrounds. Commitment to student success, innovation, and lifelong learning. PREFERRED QUALIFICATONS

Bachelor’s in marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Education, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience. Experience working with adult learners, workforce development programs, or community college students. Industry certifications related to digital marketing, technology, AI, communications, or design. Experience with online, hybrid, or technology-enhanced instruction. Bilingual – English/Spanish (Speak)
