Position Summary::The Operations Support Specialist will support the Corporate and Continuing Education with a focus on Public Services and will report directly to the Operations Support Manager.
This position will process requests as assigned such as: course/section builds, contract generation/payroll, registration/payment, grading/roster processing, and filing to ensure audit requirements are met. This person will also be available for backup/fill-in at the information desk between 8 am & 7 pm.
This team member is responsible for processing requests in a timely and efficient manner. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should work well with other team members to ensure accuracy to internal and external customers.
The Operations Support Specialist will provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and all outside constituents.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D)
- Two (2) years of clerical, customer service, or office experience.
Proficient in the College’s Colleague software
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, improve processes and follow through
Ability to work effectively with team members and participate with positivity

Duty and Responsibility::1. Initiates, processes, and reviews routine and/or specialized paperwork, forms, reports, data, and/or confidential information related to assigned area of responsibility, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information; maintains related records. May record meeting minutes.
Duty and Responsibility::2. Performs various clerical duties, utilizing standard office equipment, to include: distributing mail; making photocopies; sending faxes; and scheduling appointments and/or department activities.
Duty and Responsibility::3. Responds to requests for information, in person, via e-mail, and over the phone; takes and transmits messages; answers routine questions and provides information; directs visitors to appropriate locations.
Duty and Responsibility::4. Prepares and/or enters a variety of information into applicable documents, spreadsheets, documents, invoices, databases, logs, forms, and/or other related areas, utilizing established guidelines and procedures. Performs basic quantitative and qualitative reviews of data.
Duty and Responsibility::5. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Focused Industrial Training designs innovative educational programs for the service region's manufacturing sector.
An important function of the college is to provide educational programs on the pre-college level. Literacy Services offer adults the opportunity for meaningful social and occupational growth through Adult Basic Education (ABE), Human Resources Development (HRD), and the High School Equivalency Program (GED).
