Scope of Position
The Marketing, Communications and Digital Strategy Department is responsible for the overall brand management, communications, marketing and advertising activities on behalf of the entire Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and the College of Medicine. This Marketing Consultant position sits within the department’s Growth Marketing and Reputation Strategy team. The Marketing Consultant is a project manager responsible for supporting the strategic plan and goals for assigned areas of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Position Summary
The Marketing Consultant supports the planning, coordination and implementation of marketing programs for assigned areas. This role helps manage projects, coordinate input from key stakeholders and support the development of marketing solutions that align with strategic and financial goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

MARKETING MANAGEMENT & EXECUTION (50%)

-- Supports the development and execution of marketing plans that align with service line goals.

-- Assists with implementing approved marketing tactics and tracking related budgets.

-- Communicates with faculty, physicians, staff and leadership to collect feedback and support approvals.

-- Acts as a brand champion and works with creative partners to ensure materials adhere to brand standards.

-- Supports marketing initiatives that help build awareness, reputation and referrals.

DIGITAL STRATEGIES & MARKETING (25%)

-- Supports digital content planning and updates for assigned service lines.

-- Assists with content management planning and follows established digital policies and processes.

-- Helps support digital marketing programs, including SEM.

-- Works with the social media team to help promote assigned service lines across Medical Center platforms.

SPECIAL EVENTS & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (25%)

-- Assists in the execution of community- and peer-based sponsorships and partnerships to increase awareness and engagement with key audiences locally, regionally and nationally.

-- Manages relationships with key stakeholders and leaders.

-- Helps promote educational and special events for specific audiences.

Minimum Required Qualifications

-- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field

-- Minimum of two years of professional marketing, advertising or communications-related roles

-- Strong interpersonal, project management and organizational skills

-- Excellent writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail

-- Proactive; self-motivated; has initiative

-- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
