Responsibilities

The Office of Admissions is a unit within the Division of Enrollment Management, which is comprised of four distinct units: Office of Admissions, Office of the University Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Technology Operations. Enrollment Management’s integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the student's development and progression in their academic experience – from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families and to campus partners across the University.

  • Responsible for the management, administrative direction and coordination of staff and activities related to the production and implementation of electronic media and social media for Enrollment Management.
  • Responsible for the development of electronic and social media marketing plans for Enrollment Management. Partners with the supervisor and senior leadership to produce, implement, and continually evaluate large scale, comprehensive, strategic, and integrated communication programs via social media and email/print communication efforts that support the unified branding objectives of Enrollment Management.
  • Creates original layouts and designs for a variety of multimedia platforms to enhance the communication and visual image of the different offices within Enrollment Management with the strategic goal of increasing University enrollment and retention. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and test groups to examine designs and layouts for consideration in upcoming multimedia and marketing campaigns. Maintains the tracking of multimedia and marketing design projects to ensure timely production and execution of campaigns.
  • Researches and develops marketing outreach campaigns and programs geared to recruit students to the University. Supervises and mentors a growing team of OPS support staff with electronic media efforts.
  • Extensive contact with students, applicants for admission and their parents or representatives, the general public, University officials, various agencies (domestic & foreign), and outside vendors. Assists with the review and evaluation of policies and procedures pertaining to the areas of oversight. Participates in special events hosted by Enrollment Management. Assists other sections during peak times in support of the goals of the department.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience related to media, communications, and/or marketing services
  • We seek enthusiastic candidates who are detail-oriented, and who work well independently as well as in a team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Experience implementing integrated marketing and communications plans.
  • Experience in supervising others and/or team leadership.
  • Candidates should have the ability to review, analyze, formulate, and organize data and information and follow through on assignments.
  • Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Candidates with a strong sense of initiative and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently are preferred.
  • The ability to make sound judgments while working in a deadline-driven environment is essential.

Anticipated Salary Range

$47,660.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
