Position Summary:This position serves as primary program associate, office manager, and communication specialist for the units of the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, including the University Grants Manager. The employee in this position provides assistance to the unit directors, faculty, staff, and students. They coordinate and create internal and public facing communications to all relevant constituents about programming, grant opportunities and procedures, research compliance, grant-funded research and programs, newsletters, and social media.
Duties include:
- serving as the first point of contact for unit inquiries and questions
- file and record maintenance
- ordering of supplies, budget management, purchase orders, and check requests
- travel requests and reimbursements
- calendar management
- schedule meetings and reserve meeting spaces as needed
- assisting with logistics and information related to staff searches
- serves as a contact for information requests from faculty and staff on programs
- planning, promotion, and management of unit events
- website maintenance
- communications to campus and public (e.g. email, newsletter, social media, etc.)

Minimum Education/Experience/Skills:Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Ability to provide strong written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of graphic design and ability to use various office technologies such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Drive, Canva, Wordpress, and website maintenance.
- Skill in budget and fund management. Experience with the Banner system would be ideal.
Typical office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Occasional time on evenings or weekends may be needed to meet the needs of the department.
