Job SummaryThis position is responsible for actively recruiting transfer students, special populations, and out of state freshman by providing current information about the College and its programs, pre-enrollment course recommendations, as well as the transfer application process to students, faculty, and staff. This position is designated as Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Responsibilities1 -
Assist departmental leadership in setting new student enrollment targets, defining key schools, and devising and implementing strategies to reach those targets.
2 -
Manages recruitment and admissions for transfer, non-traditional, non-degree, and out of state students and is responsible for meeting transfer student recruitment and out of state freshman enrollment goals.
3 -
Utilize available communications tools to provide a high degree of personal contact and establish relationship with prospective students, applicants, accepted students, and their families while enhancing a student¿s level of interest in the College.
4 -
Serves as in-house enrollment counselor for admissions inquiries and other campus visitors while maintaining a high level of customer service.
5 -
Develops external relations with technical colleges, community colleges, and community partners to build relationships and develop articulation agreements, bridge programs, and memorandums of understanding to support a seamless transfer and enrollment process.
6 -
Coordinates on and off campus events for prospective out-of-state and transfer students including college fairs, community events, and other activities while also serving as an advisor for international student and transfer mentors.
7 -
Evaluate, determine, and process admission for applicants through review of applicant files.
8 -
Maintain accurate reports and records pertaining to prospective student recruitment, follow-up activity, enrollment, and accepted student yield.
9 -
Performs related work and additional duties as required.
Educational Requirements
-Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
Other Required Qualifications
-Must possess a current valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review
Required Experience
-More than one year of related experience
Preferred Experience
-Two (2) years of prior work experience in recruiting, sales, higher education or a related field preferred
-Familiarity with student information systems and/or customer relationship management systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Access/PowerPoint/Excel)
ABILITIES
-Ability to lift at least twenty-five (25) pounds
KNOWLEDGE
-Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs
SKILLS
-Skill in decision making and problem solving.
-Skill in the provision of customer services to applicants, families, and counselors
