This position will remain open for a minimum of seven (7) days. The College reserves the right to close the recruitment at any time after the minimum posting period once a sufficient applicant pool has been established.This is a temporary (up to 18 months) part-time exempt position with a possibility of extension based on funding. We reserve the right to end this position before 18 months if we find the work is no longer needed.
This position helps improve the effectiveness of financial aid operations by supporting process improvements, system enhancements, and cross-department collaboration. The role works with staff and stakeholders to streamline workflows, align processes with ctcLink, develop clear procedures, and provide training and support.
The position's work results in more efficient operations, consistent business practices, reliable data, and improved service to students. By supporting financial aid and division-wide systems initiatives, the position helps ensure Student Affairs processes are effective, student-centered, and responsive to changing business and technology needs.Essential FunctionsReview and analyze financial aid business processes, workflows, and data to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement; develop and recommend process changes to increase efficiency, consistency, and service quality, implementing approved changes. Collaborate with financial aid staff and campus stakeholders to identify business and system needs and gather requirements; develop recommendations to align processes with ctcLink functionality and best practices, updating ctcLink FA setup and configuration to support approved solutions. Prepare and communicate standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation for financial aid business processes, along with related procedures and training materials, to support consistent operations and data integrity. Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to staff on financial aid systems, processes, and operational changes. Lead and facilitate discovery sessions and process reviews with Registrar, Admissions, and Student Financials to identify opportunities for cross-functional improvement; develop recommendations for operational effectiveness and implement upon approval. Evaluate proposed changes to policies, procedures, and business operations; assess impacts, recommend implementation strategies, and carry out approved changes, including corresponding ctcLink FA setup updates. Serve as a liaison on financial aid systems projects, coordinating with stakeholders and implementing approved decisions, including ctcLink configuration changes, to ensure consistent and effective business practices. Support Student Affairs systems initiatives through systems testing in PCD, enhancement requests, implementation activities, and change management efforts.Contribute to the successful adoption of new technologies, system enhancements, and process improvements that improve services for students and staff, implementing approved solutions, including updates to ctcLink FA setup and configuration.Qualifications
