Location: Hybrid/Primary location at Stanford Campus in Palo Alto. Occasional travel between Stanford Campus in Palo Alto and Stanford Redwood City.

The primary mission of the Stanford University Hardware Program (SUHP) is to provide an asset management lifecycle service to the University that safeguards Stanford’s valuable hardware assets, mitigates the risks associated with fraud and loss, and optimizes our budgeting processes. 

The SUHP team seeks a talented Asset Management Analyst with exceptional organizational skills and expertise in ServiceNow to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security, integrity, and chain-of-custody for our hardware resources. Additionally, you will champion our environmentally responsible disposal practices while managing and optimizing our organization's assets and asset records, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and leveraging ServiceNow to streamline asset management processes.

The expected pay range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per annum.

Core Duties:

• Analyze and document user needs, existing and new policies,processes, procedures and operational methods to consider possibleimprovements to new and existing systems.

• Utilize elicitation techniques to understand business processesand translate into system requirements and/or development of systemssolutions.

• Define and document business requirements and test cases forsystem developments. May include the writing of all or a portion offunctional specifications.

• Coordinate with business and technology teams, ascertainingsystem requirements, such as program functions, output requirements,input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.

• Problem solve in areas such as system design, input/outputrequirements and procedural flow between departments and/or businesssystems.

• Perform testing of new systems, upgrades and patching of existingsystems; may include developing test plans. Conduct and documentresults of testing.

• May develop instructional materials, training and jobaids.

Minimum Education andExperience:

Bachelor's degree and three years relevant experience or acombination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes andworkflow.

• Understanding of the software development life cycle.

• Experience with enterprise applications and understanding ofdatabase driven applications.

• Skill in conducting interviews.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,including the ability to bridge functional and technical resources bycommunicating effectively with individuals of varying systems expertiseand business needs.

• Listening, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

• Ability to maintain good customer relations with clients andexternal vendors and partners.
