Our Museum Safety Representatives play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for Museum visitors, staff, and occupants. As part of the Museum's front-line operations, Museum Safety Representatives help ensure that guests can enjoy the Museum's spaces, exhibits, and collections in a safe and secure setting.
Visitor Services and Safety Representatives are an important part of the Museum's front-line visitor experience and safety operations. Representatives help protect Museum collections, exhibits, and occupants while providing friendly and knowledgeable service to visitors at Powell Hall and the McGuire Center of Lepidoptera and Biodiversity.
Representatives regularly interact with Museum visitors, providing information about exhibits, Museum events, and available resources while helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for all visitors.
Essential duties include:
This is a part-time, time-limited OPS position with a minimum one-year commitment preferred. 32–36 hours per week; shifts are Monday–Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Weekday, weekend and holiday availability are required. Training is anticipated to begin in late October 2026.
Expected Salary:$17.00 per hour
