Administrative Assistant - Part Time
The part-time Administrative Assistant will support a range of departments within The College, including Mathematics, Philosophy, Global Discoveries, and English. This position will assist with the daily operations of the departments by ensuring the timely processing of expense reports, providing administrative support during the final examination period, and assisting with faculty promotion and tenure processes. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing to a team-oriented workplace.

Essential Functions
- Prepare, code, and process Workday expense reports for faculty travel, candidate travel, and visiting speakers or guests.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for guest lecturers and other departmental visitors.
- Manage visit-related details, including room reservations through 25 Live, itineraries, catering, event setup, and other logistical needs.
- Assist the Department Head with the preparation and administration of promotion and tenure files.
- Monitor required materials, deadlines, and procedural requirements to help ensure files are complete and submitted on schedule.
- Provide administrative support during the final examination period for departments, responsibilities may include preparing and materials, proctoring support, and assisting with distribution and collection procedures.
- Provide administrative assistance with budget information when needed
- Provide limited administrative support for Spring Term course offerings as needed
- Order departmental supplies and other approved materials as needed.
Work Schedule: This is a non-benefit-eligible, fixed-term position beginning in mid-October 2026 and ending in mid-February 2027. This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position with a maximum of 29 hours per week and fewer than 999 hours per anniversary year.
Pay Rate: The hourly pay for this position is $22.00.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A High school diploma or equivalent is required (Associate's Degree preferred)
- Experience working in an administrative support role or a combination of education and experience which would provide a similar level of skill
- Strong records maintenance skills
- Proficiency, or the aptitude to acquire skills, in Microsoft Office Suite, Mac/Apple systems, Adobe Acrobat, Workday and other applications applicable to the office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
