Position Description
Serve as a key resource for EHR users by providing timely technical support via phone, remote access, and in-person interactions. Diagnose and resolve system-related issues, coordinate with specialized technical staff when needed, and help users maximize the effectiveness of the EHR system through training, education, and ongoing support.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides EHR access and end-user support, including troubleshooting, access management, and issue escalation.
  • Provides EHR training and guidance to end users on system functionality, workflows, and appropriate use.
  • EHR Technical Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Maintains EHR reference sites and shared resources and communicates relevant EHR alerts, updates, and notices to team members.
  • Participates in EHR system meetings to maintain current system knowledge and provide subject matter expertise as requested.
  • Performs other duties and special assignments as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of experience providing end-user support and training for an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system or comparable software platform.
  • Three (3) years of experience working with clinical operations, healthcare workflows, or EHR systems in a healthcare environment.
  • Three (3) years of experience utilizing PEARL EHR or a comparable Electronic Health Record system.
  • Three (3) years of experience managing user access, troubleshooting system issues, and/or participating in system testing within an EHR environment.
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer service and communicating technical information to users through phone, virtual, and/or in-person support.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting established deadlines and service expectations.
  • Three (3) years of experience maintaining shared electronic resources, knowledge bases, or document repositories such as SharePoint.
  • Possession of a Health Information Management (HIM), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Professional in Health Information Management (CPHIMS), or other relevant healthcare information technology certification.

About Managed Care

Since 1989, TTUHSC Managed Care has served as a healthcare delivery service, providing high quality, low cost healthcare to patients within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system. We provide medical, mental health, and dental services to patients in 22 facilities throughout West Texas.

Visa Information
TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
