An Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Lab Assistant works with students to provide appropriate learning experiences that enhance students’ knowledge and facilitate their application of theoretical knowledge in clinical/skills practice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent typically works in a lab environment and uses simulated and genuine EMS equipment as needed to instruct students. The incumbent also works in a hospital setting when precepting students.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand for long periods, walk, run, reach, bend, and lift up to ninety (90) pounds.
