The Environmental Systems Technician II provides advanced technical expertise in the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical campus environmental and building systems to ensure safe, reliable, and energy-efficient facilities. Serves as a senior-level technician responsible for complex diagnostics, emergency response, and system optimization, supporting uninterrupted campus operations.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings and/or weekends.
Requires the provision of official transcripts and/or certifications within (30) days of hire.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. The employee will be subjected to hazards associated with electrical work and contact with cleaning agents, lubricants and other chemicals used in industry such as water treatment acids.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina. Frequently lifts assets and equipment weighing fifty (50) or more pounds. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service buildings and climbs to heights in excess of forty (40) feet. Will be exposed to pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, stooping and general physical work approximately fifty (50%) of the time.QUALIFICATIONS
