Job Title:Athletic Facilities Groundskeeper
Pay Rate:$18.12 - $24.40 hourly

Position Summary:Position Summary:
This position supports the Athletic Department programs and its strategic operation. The Athletics Facilities Grounds Keeper supports practice, game day and special event field preparation. This position must be able to work with a diverse group of athletics staff, coaches, and plant department staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
These duties are intended only as examples of the various types of job duties to be performed. The omission of the specific duties does not exclude them from the position of the work is a similar, related or logical assignment to the position.
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
1. Perform regular mowing, trimming, and weed eating across all athletic fields and surrounding landscapes.2. Line athletic fields for both gamedays and practices, maintaining consistent accuracy and professional presentation.3. Paint and manage dugouts, fences, and related field structures to uphold facility standards.4. Edge warning tracks and field perimeters to preserve clean, defined boundaries and safe transitions.5. Conduct field turf grooming and surface maintenance to promote even playing conditions and extend turf life.6. Perform snow removal on, off, and around athletic fields to ensure accessibility and readiness in winter conditions.7. Oversee gameday field preparation for practices, rentals, and special events.8. Apply pesticides and weed control treatments to all athletic fields in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.9. Perform annual grass maintenance for natural athletic fields, including seasonal seeding, fertilizing, and laying sod to promote healthy, resilient playing surfaces year-round.10. Support general facility upkeep, addressing seasonal needs, small repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.11. Performs other duties as assigned.
1. High School Diploma/GED2. Five (5) years of experience in athletic field maintenance.3. Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.4. Ability to operate all landscaping equipment.
Desired Qualifications:1. Experience working at the collegiate level.2. CPR/AED certification.3.First aid training.
