The Division of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) partners with Augusta University to promote safety services that support the clinical, teaching, and research missions on campus. We are responsible for a campus-wide effort to ensure Augusta University complies with local, state, and federal health and safety rules and regulations to provide a safe environment for work, study, research, and patient care.
Job Summary This position is responsible for providing support to administration, including the department chair, by planning, organizing and managing the department staff.
Responsibilities The duties include, but are not limited to:
OTHER: Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of six years of progressively responsible office support experience.
OR
High school diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized state or federal accredited organization required, with a minimum of nine years of progressively responsible office support experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities KNOWLEDGE
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Box.
SKILLS
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions.
Shift/Salary/Benefits Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Band: B5
Salary: $17.88/hour
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Driver's License Statement The Human Resources Division will request a driver's history report for the identified top candidate(s) for this position. We will initiate this through our Background Check Vendor; this report will come from the Department of Motor Vehicles. The selected candidate must have a valid driver's license.
