Trades Generalist, FT, Permanent
Empire State University is seeking candidates for a full-time Trades Generalist to work in our Saratoga Springs location.
The position will perform a wide range of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, repair, and operational duties, while also providing on-shift coordination and support to custodial and facilities staff as needed.
Duties of this position will include the following:
- Minor electrical repairs
- Carpentry and wall repair
- Plumbing adjustments and fixture repairs
- Preventive maintenance on building systems
- Equipment troubleshooting
- Assist with facility setups and adjustments
- Support snow removal and seasonal operations
- Address urgent repair needs during active building hours
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday 11:00am - 7:00pm
Special Information: Must possess a valid NYS driver's license
Salary: $50,425
