Academic rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. An MD or DO degree (or equivalent) is required, and applicants should be eligible for board certification in anesthesiology and medical licensure in California (or an exemption for international medical graduates). Completion of United States Medical Licensing Exams (USMLEs) is preferred but not required.
