Description:
The Department of Epidemiology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and the Molecular Epidemiology Center for Biomedical Research Excellence invites applications for a tenure track faculty position. We seek an Associate Professor with experience in the design and conduct of large-scale prospective molecular epidemiologic investigations.  The department further has emerging strength in Implementation Sciences and is also interested in applicants with independent research programs in implementation research using molecular epidemiology. The Department offers a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and highly collaborative setting with a commitment and infrastructure to support rigorous and impactful research and career advancement.

Dartmouth faculty benefit from close collaborative relationships with other departments across the medical school and university, including with the College of Arts & Sciences, Thayer School of Engineering, and Tuck School of Business. In addition, Dartmouth is home to an NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with four research programs, including Cancer Population Sciences and the Dartmouth Center for Implementation Science. As a part of success in this role there are expectations for teaching and mentoring. Individuals will have opportunities to participate in multiple graduate programs (e.g., the Program in Quantitative Biomedical Sciences, Implementation Science, Integrative Neuroscience, the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice and the Program in Molecular and Cellular Biology).

Dartmouth is committed to academic excellence and encourages the open exchange of ideas within a culture of mutual respect. Dartmouth welcomes people with different backgrounds, life experiences, and perspectives and believes that diversity in all its forms enhances academic excellence. Applicants should address in their cover letter how their research, teaching, service, and/or life experiences prepare them to serve Dartmouth’s commitment to academic excellence in an environment that is welcoming to all.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and relevant teaching and extramural research experience to meet the qualifications of a tenure track associate professor at Dartmouth. Applicants with a track record of extramural research support are preferred.

Application Instructions:

Applicants should upload a cover letter, a curriculum vitae (without impact factors), a description of proposed research (3 pages or less), a teaching statement, and a statement on how their teaching, research, service, and/or life experiences prepare them to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion at Dartmouth through the Interfolio link provided. Three referees should provide letters of recommendation. Consideration of applications will begin on May 18, 2026, and continue until the position is filled.
