Nature & Purpose of Position:The Video Editor is responsible for piecing together raw footage into a finished product. They work with the creative team to ensure that the final video is polished and aligns with the intended vision.
Other Requirements for the Position:Media Ingestion:
- Responsible for uploading and syncing media to online cloud storage systems.
- Manages media assets and maintains organization of editing projects.
- Assemble video content for assigned projects, ensuring smooth cuts and transitions.
- Syncs sound, applies visual effects, and color corrects footage.
- Editing for social media with appropriate pacing, safety zones, and graphic styles.
- Ensures all content meets quality standards and deadlines.
- Collaborates with Graphic Designers for motion graphics or thumbnails for the KSHU7 website or YouTube.
- Occasionally assist with university Live Events (Camera Operator, Technical Director)
